FREQUENTLY ASKED QUSTION (FAQ).

The not-for-profit funeral services offer free advisory and mortuary services and support to the Muslim community. The mortuary facilities are free and open to all. The grieving family receives guidance and assistance to better comprehend the funeral process and plan a memorial ceremony that suits their needs.

The bereaved family can arrange for their preferred team to wash and dress under the supervision of their preferred scholar.

  • A spacious, temperature-controlled cool room capable of accommodating up to six deceased individuals.
  • Washing area
  • Washing platform
  • Kafan (dressing) area
  • Water tank for camphor (kafoor)
  • Water tank for Jujube (barre or neem)
  • Instant hot water system
  • Washing machine and a dryer
  • Separate toilets and showers for the washing and dressing team.
  • Two additional toilets and a shower for the disabled, as well as male and female.
  • Free kafan can be made available upon request for adults, minors, or both.

We recommend reserving a grave in advance due to the rising prices almost every year. The family or individual can directly purchase the grave in a cemetery of their choice. Below are a few cemeteries:

Fawkner Cemetery, Flinders Memorial Park in Lara, Victoria (Geelong), Donnybrook Cemetery, Kalkallo, Victoria, and Bunurong Memorial Park (Dandenong South).

The bereaved family is required to engage the services of a funeral director of their preference and remit the funeral director fee directly. A roster of funeral directors will be furnished upon request.

Note: Please reach out to us if you or your family encounter financial difficulties in affording a grave or the fee for a funeral director.
